In Circles

I’m even having a hard time getting this blog post to refresh. It’s just been one of those manic Mondays. I sat down in front of my laptop and realized, to my horror, that I had forgotten a coffee date with someone at 8am. So I jumped into my car and raced to the coffee shop. I sat waiting for 15 minutes and the person didn’t show up. So I got back in my car, sat down in front of my laptop and discovered and email from the person saying, “We’re on for 8:30am right?” I was reading their email at 8:35am. It’s such a bummer, but I didn’t have the latitude to jump back in my car and race down there for a second time. Sadly I had to apologize, ask them to give me a call, and we’ll just have to figure out another time.

It’s funny too – early this morning I had prayed, “God I really want to move slowly and purposefully this week. Help me move slowly, and be present in all that I do.” And then the next thing I’m doing is rushing around. Funny how life works.
