Thanks For Empty Hands

Gratitude Chronicles Part IV

I always like to have good options at my disposal. In fact, I usually prefer to have more than one good option I can leverage when I need it. I hate being down to my last option, or options that really are nothing more than all I have left, and all that I have left is a big fat zero. But during my month of Thanksgiving I want to thank God for the times I have had empty hands. I’m thankful that when I have given God all that I have left – most often my weakness – He shows up and surprises me. Some of the greatest blessings in my life have been given to me by God after I gave Him my zeros, my weakness, and my lamest options left to me. Thanks God for my empty hands, because when I am weak you show yourself strong. 2 Cor. 12:9-10
