This morning I got up really early to drive through the Bay Area and check in on my amazing Dad. My Mom went home to be with Jesus four years ago and so I made today a fun road trip for prayer, for worship, and for checking in on my Dad. By the way – I cannot believe what so many people endure every day in their commute. The traffic in the Bay Area is crazy – and I was driving at 6-freakin-am!! So I stopped in at my favorite coffee shop – Philz coffee in Los Gatos- and hit the road. As I listened to a great worship CD and watched the sun peak over the hills I was moved to recall the goodness and grace of God in my life. Most of the time I skew in the direction of the “woe is me” perspective, but once in a while I actually perceive things the way things actually are and by that I mean – I really understand how kind and generous God has been to me in my life. So as the sun rose in the east I just thanked God for a new and beautiful day and the wonderful life He has given me. How about you?
