Since I live in the culture of bigger, faster, stronger and smarter it is very hard to believe that the small stuff matters. I mean everyone with the bigger ideas, and the fastest rise to the top are the ones who get that dot-matrixed picture of the themselves on the front page of The Wall Street Journal. Mom’s who do laundry – yet again – for their children, Dad’s who comfort and then rock their sick children back to sleep at 3am, neighbors who check in on others, teachers who help students, and the “average Joe” doing the smallest stuff that has to get done every day isn’t going get front page coverage.
But I really like this insight from a woman who knows something about the small stuff from her ministry to the poorest of the poor on the streets of Calcutta, India.
