How The Lines Have Fallen

This morning I read these beautiful words in Psalm 16: 5-6 – “Lord, you have assigned me my potion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.”

The “boundary lines” described refer to the Israelites familial land inheritance – the lines of the boundaries for their homeland. King David is filled with gratitude as he considers the incredible goodness and generosity of God. This thought made me stop to consider all of the incredible ways God has given me a future and a hope, and I joined with David in concluding that I also have a delightful inheritance. If you read this blog today, pause for a moment and just think about how “the boundary lines have fallen” in your life and then praise God for the incredible ways He has been so very good to you.
