The Grace Of Old Age

You start to realize the clock is ticking fast and you’re actually getting older when you drop you child off at the same  summer camp you went to as a teenager, then worked at as staff member, and then met your wife while on staff at that camp. As you look around at the “old people” dropping off their kids for camp and then see former co-workers who worked with you at that same camp dropping their kids off at camp it really hits you that time is flying by and you are also one of those “old people.”

So as I grow a little older and a little more immersed in the immensity of God’s amazing grace, here’s a great quote from the author of Les Miserables:

“When grace is joined with wrinkles, it is adorable. There is an unspeakable dawn in happy old age.” Victor Hugo

Here’s to “happy old age.”
