What Really Matters

“When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.” – Mark Twain

I’m beginning a project that comes from the heart. I’m going to be interviewing my dad to hear from him what he’s learned in life. I specifically want to explore what he once believed most mattered when he was a young man against what he now believes most matters as an older, wiser man. I’m excited to see where this project takes us. I’ll be posting my conversational journey in the months ahead.

I think this is going to be a good study not only for you, as a son, but for those of us who get to learn from this subject too. I was watching “leave it to Beaver”. The Beaver was crossing the street, a car just drove past, and did not stop…now it is against the law not to stop…times change.
