Stop Loving Me So Much

I’ve been writing about the appropriate place of honesty in a loving relationship. It all leads me to ask this question – how would God honestly assess my current relationship with Him? Would God say something like, “I know you think you’re fully engaged with me and with my kingdom, but let me be really honest – you’re not. You think you’re all in, but to me it’s more like you’re all in – when it works for you. When it doesn’t work for you, you’re more than willing to fully engage something, or someone else that better fits what you want for yourself.” If that is even close to God’s assessment – how do you respond? Will you get mad at God for loving you so much that He wants all of you, or will you take it to heart and move even closer to God?
