It’s been said that human love can simply be defined as “love if” or “love when.” In other words, we receive love if we have performed or when we have performed. Essentially human love is based on something we’ve done to earn or illicit that love.

But God’s loves us “just because.” God’s loves us just because it’s in His character to love us, want the best for us, and actually pursue the best for us even at great cost to Himself.  Which love do you prefer? The kind of love you know you’ve earned, or the kind of love that’s being given to you in spite of yourself? Please share your thoughts.
