Oh!

2012 is almost over. In this year all of us experienced ups and downs. There is never a time in our life where we don’t experience both. In the “up” seasons, there’s always some way in which we’re being challenged or struggling. In the “down” seasons, there’s always some way in which we’re being mercifully blessed by God. It’s not uncommon to look back upon the year that was and ask, “Why?” We wonder why things worked out the way they did, why friendships changed, and why we didn’t go further in the goals we set for ourselves. As 2012 closes let me share with you another quote I’ve enjoyed quite a bit.

“The most common word spoken on this side of heaven is the word ‘why,’ but the most common word spoken in heaven will be simple word ‘oh'” – Anonymous

When we finally see Jesus face to face, all of our “whys” will turn into, “Oh, now I get it!” May you be filled with renewed hope as you begin a new year.
